lesions include cellulitis, acute adenitis (usually secondary to venereal disease or skin disease) and chronic adenitis secondary to tuberculosis or a systemic disease (see page 360). In addition, tuberculosis may cause a psoas abscess, there may be thrombophlebitis of the saphenous or femoral vein (especially postpartum), or there may be arthritis (rheumatoid, gouty, or osteoarthritis) of the jo
STEP1: ABOUT SKIN CANCER
Cause of cancer _ 2 cases
1.Cell growth doesn’t stop
2.Disorder of apoptosis
p53 : Tumor repressor gene
P53 : transcription factor
Functions
-p53 are that first arrest cell cycle so control cell growth, also active apoptosis suicide program
P53 mutation ->p53 sytem breaks down, it can’t act as Transcriptor factor-> generating tumor
Epidemiology and clinical manifestations
Chickenpox
- Rash, low-grade fever, malaise
- Benign to immunocompetent patient
- Skinlesion : Hallmark of infection
maculopapule -> vesicle, scabs
(over hours to days)
Trunk and face -> other areas of the body
- Immunocompromised patients: hemorrhagic based lesion
keratinocytes ("satellitosis") [9]. As the lesions progress, frank subepidermal vesiculation develops, with full thickness epidermal necrosis.
